10/10 Deadline for MNA Committees and Councils

There are many opportunities for members to serve on committees or councils that reflect their interests! If you would like to be considered for an MNA council or committee, please fill out and submit a Bio and Consent form by October 10!

Early Voting has Started in Michigan! 

Tuesday, November 8, is Election Day in Michigan, but early voting has already started! Here is how you can vote now: 

Vote In-Person Early. Visit your local election clerk during business hours. You can request a ballot, fill it out, and turn it in right there! 

Vote by Mail. Any registered voter can vote by mail. This is also called “absentee voting” or “voting at home.” It can be done in three easy steps: 

1. Visit www.mich.gov/vote to request your absentee ballot. 
2. Fill it out when it arrives. 
3. Mail it back by or drop it off at your clerk’s office (inside or via drop box). 

Visit the Michigan Voter Information Center at mvic.sos.state.mi.us to view your registration status, polling location, and sample ballot.  

MNA members have endorsed candidates who are strong advocates for nurses and healthcare professionals and working families. Now's a great time to donate money to help get these candidates elected – visit www.minursespac.org/give to pitch in. (No union dues go to candidates’ campaigns.)

Join Fellow MNA Members to Support the Homeless Community

Please join members of the MNA Council for Nursing Practice and the Diversity, Inclusion & Cultural Competency Committee in their efforts to collect and donate personal care items to the Detroit-area homeless individuals. The members are very excited about the opportunity to serve this population and hope you will join them in their effort to collect and provide the much-needed personal care items to those less fortunate.
